Game on! Yeah baby! Hopefully it won't snow 4 or 5 more inches. Other than that, good luck to all this upcoming season. I won't be entirely happy though until the last basketball game is played, and all of my players are healthy. I'm still counting down those days.

I just got a brand new, Rawlings Heart of the Hide utility infielder mitt for Christmas, to replace my 25 year old mitt. My 3 year-old and I will breaking it in at a diamond near us in about two weeks or so, so it is ready for him to use when he turns about 13. He will learn to keep book before he learns to read.

There is no better time than baseball season.

I love football and hoops very, very much. But every year I welcome the baseball season with open arms as a welcome cure for cabin fever. It's relaxing and intense at the same time. It's my favorite sport to cover.

Baseball is the greatest game ever invented. Just playing the game teaches you life lessons that you will carry with you through out your adult life. It's also a pure game, by that I mean if you are ever in a bad mood, or have had a bad day, go catch a baseball game. It almost theraputic. Well, for me at least.

Before I forget to pass this along, I hear that the "rocket" himslef is going to be hurling a few heaters in Lexington, KY this spring. He is going to be playing with one of his son's for the Legend's. Roger's contract won't be signed until May sometime, so he will throw a bit with the Legends. AWESOME!! Don't miss it!
