02Ram54 Posted November 8, 2013 Posted November 8, 2013 Wait, the SEC does EIGHT first team players? They went from 12 teams to 14 and had to add three slots? The Big East used to do SIX, for a (much stronger) 16-team league.
Jumper_Dad Posted November 8, 2013 Posted November 8, 2013 How'd that work out for the Big East? Could be why they failed...:lol2:
TheDeuce Posted November 8, 2013 Posted November 8, 2013 How'd that work out for the Big East? Could be why they failed...:lol2: The talent in the Big East had nothing to do with why it "failed." Failed isn't even an appropriate word.
02Ram54 Posted November 8, 2013 Posted November 8, 2013 How'd that work out for the Big East? Could be why they failed...:lol2: I agree with Deuce's take. Talent wasn't the problem...

Putting eight (or nine, or ten) on a first team is nothing more than a ploy to boost your players stock by being able to call themselves First Team All-Conference.
Jumper_Dad Posted November 8, 2013 Posted November 8, 2013 I agree with Deuce's take. Talent wasn't the problem... I agree, it that they just pick six kids as All-Conf...should have picked 8, Big East might have survived!!!
02Ram54 Posted November 8, 2013 Posted November 8, 2013 You're living in the past. How strong is the AAC? Still stronger than the SEC.
