Wow, those are a lot of first round NIT losses that I don't recall. The reason I brought up the old Big East: they were the first (to my knowlege) to expand their All-Conference selections beyond five per team, because of the size and depth of their league. I thought that would be clear to most of the knowledgeable posters on this board, but apparently not. So, now that I've made my context a little clearer, do you disagree with my point that SIXTEEN first and second team slots is a bit much?

November 8, 201312 yr ^I agree. For the record, I think it's beyond stupid that they have 8 people on a team. Why not just split them up into 3 5 person teams, have a 1st, 2nd, and 3rd team, and tell the 16th guy who misses out to go prove them wrong? Seems easy enough to me. :idunno:

Putting eight (or nine, or ten) on a first team is nothing more than a ploy to boost your players stock by being able to call themselves First Team All-Conference. Just a few players to come off the bench for the first team.
