Not doubting you but the coaches seem to think so. I have some Ohio people who tell me the same but until I see or hear otherwise, he IS apart of that team as of right now.

The team doesn't have a game until April, so you can say my 8 year old IS on the team too and it doesn't matter until he suits up (or doesn't in this case) in a game.

For the record, I'm a fan of the kid and wish him all the best. Hasn't had the easiest paths to this point and I hope he has a bright, bright future. 99% of people reading this board have no idea what he has had to endure.

I guess we will find out come April. I personally think the Travelers would be a great fit for him...and yes I know how good King James was this past summer.

Coach Sizemore and Mahorn had been keeping tabs on him for a while as a kid that could play at both the 16U and 17U level and Markel was contacted today about joining the Travelers this summer. Great fit for him and his development.

17U roster is what you saw in the first page of this thread.

 

16U roster has some mention on the first page but from my understanding, Markel is the only sophomore that is on the 16U roster as of right now. All of the other confirmed players are top freshmen.

He will still be able to play U16 due to being a current sophomore, from the way I understand it.

 

Bolden and Justice could have both played at the U16 level last year as well despite being "older."

OK, thanks for the clarification. I was under the impression that Bolden did not have a choice last year.

Loved McDonald's game when I saw him in the RBC. Very soft touch for such a big kid.
