Didn't Shelby Combs from Montgomery County play last year on the 16u team? Any info on if he will play again this year?

17U roster is what you saw in the first page of this thread.

 

16U roster has some mention on the first page but from my understanding, Markel is the only sophomore that is on the 16U roster as of right now. All of the other confirmed players are top freshmen.

 

Who are some of those freshmen?

I haven't heard his name mentioned....I'd be a little surprised if he was on the team this year. The kids they're taking for 16U are kids who will also play at the 17U level in the actual EYBL when they get to that level.

The 16u roster will include numerous kids on the 14u Derby State Thoroughbreds last season

 

Kel Stotts - Russell County

Dylan James - Sheldon Clark

Bryson Asher - North Laurel

All three of those are going to play up on the 16u team this season.

 

Peyton Broughton - North Laurel will be on either the 16u or 17u, have been rumors of both for him.

 

The 16u team will also have Damon Tobler from Perry County Central who like Stotts, Asher, James and Broughton is a freshman as well. They are not having a 15u team so all these kids will play up on the 16u team.

Isn't Peyton Broughton a point guard? Why would the 17's need another point guard with Beverly and Bolden on the roster?
