The second tiebreak is based on the best records of four opponents correct? (This is insane.) If I'm doing this correctly, then Fern Creek can count 12 points and Ballard and Eastern each nine, with Ballard taking the No. 2 spot by virtue of their head-to-head win over Eastern.

 

It's late, I'm tired and have no idea if I... 1) read the tiebreak rules correctly or 2) did the actual counting correctly given that crazy rule.

I re-read the 3 way tie breaker 7 times last night. In a 3-way head to head doesn't apply (a change). It's all about the points. The only way Eastern doesn't finish 3rd is if they beat Manual.

 

Ballard could win the thing if they beat Bryan Station. The only way Fern Creek gets any help is if teams they have already beaten win.

 

Here's how I figure it.

 

Ballard currently has 9 points with wins over J-town (2), Western (5) and Oldham Co. (2). Their remaining game is vs. Bryan Station. If they win they get 4 more points. Since J-town and Oldham play each other they will get 1 more point. If Western beats John Hardin they will also get another.

 

Fern Creek currently has 12 points with wins over Seneca (2), Moore (4), Southern (4) and Oldham Co. (2). Their remaining game is against Waggener with only 1 win so it won't factor in. Based on who their wins have left to play I don't see Fern Creek getting any more points.

 

Eastern currently has 6 points with wins over J-Town (2), Seneca (2) and Oldham Co. (2). Their remaining game is against Manual. They will get 7 more points if they beat the Crimsons. They will get one more point from the winner of Oldham/J-Town.
