St. X New football field and Athletic Complex

Featured Replies

As previously stated, Glaser's getting this postion Certainly had nothing to do with that football game. Just a major difference in philosophy: trinity fans relate everything to football, while ST X., fans/alumni realize there is so much more to the school (and life). Glaser lives and breathes St X. Not a better person for the postion. His desire to see these young men develope into future leaders in the community is unmatched. Foreign concept to you?

Completely false XCard. If you're basing your opinion of all Trinity fans, parents, and students on a few BGP posters, you're grossly misjudging the Trinity faithful. I'm glad I personally know many, MANY X faithful, and would never have to restrict my judgement of them to my experiences here at BGP.

Another case of someone assuming the views of a small minority represent the views of the whole.:rolleyes::rolleyes:

Xcard....there are some Trinity posters on this site that will try to thread-jack every St.X thread ...just as there are X posters who do the same on Trinity threads.....They are not representative of their fine schools. What these thread-jacking posters don't understand is that every good thing that happens at either school...helps both because of the high level of competition. Plus...Their bashing only hurts their school's reputation. Other posters cannot think positive of them or of the school they represent....

......I happen to know that Rockmom is not anti-St.X...in fact a little birdie told me that she loves to listen to the St.X football radio broadcasts! :D

Love,

your favorite closet Rock.

Great points!

Stay steadfast in your beliefs and you'll go far. :thumb:

You're so right! How could I, when you see me in the stands wherever the Rocks are playing, cheering my lungs out for my (and Xman85's) beloved Rocks? :D

This thread is about the athletic complex so let's get back to it....

The football field looks to be awesome. All the work that has already been completed is very nice. The traffic circle, the tennis courts, the new entrance, the building upgrades all look very good.

The tennis courts are just about finished. They are awesome. They can be seen from Poplar Level Road just to the right of the new entrance.

The companies that are building this are doing a great job. I know Sullivan and Cozart is one because of their trailers are parked at the school.

.BTW...Rockmom couldn't help it...

Speaking of the traffic circle...that's in use now, right?

Secondly...does all of this have anything to do with the construction entrance next to St. Agnes? Is that going to eventually be a cut-through to X from Newburg? I just wonder, because I'll be trying to avoid that area unless they put in a turning light.... :creepy:

The traffic circle is in use...it used to drop off and pick up students...

I do not know anything about the Newburg cut-through.

I'm not even sure it's related. From my observations going past St. Agnes frequently, something's going on back behind there, and I just wondered if it had anything to do with X's expansion. Could be totally unrelated, and probably is.

There is also a basketball arena planned. I think....(the key word in this sentence is think) that it will be started when the football and baseball stadiums are completed.

X has a basketball team

BTW...seen the video...pretty impressive.

Yeah TD, the Tigers do have a basketball team ...one-point better than the pebbles, may I add..., but like many of their compatriots they suffer from the dreaded private school B-ball losing syndrome, due mainly to a lack of hops. Maybe a good, strong brewski diet of well-aged Billy Beer from the attic at Check's would provide the hops so vitally needed. What do you think? :jump:

We're talking about our children here, OX.....I think some Flubber is more in order!
