Snider v. Bolden: Break it down

Featured Replies

I've seen both play. Bolden is a score first PG. Q is a pass first PG. Admittedly my first hand account of each is limited. I'd love to have either. But right this second, I'd choose Q.

Are you talking about Bolden or Snider? I think they've both gotten significantly bigger interest than Dayton, haven't they?

Bolden. And yeah, he's since received a great deal of attention from many schools.

Have seen Snider play since he was in the eighth grade. He is not a pass first player.

In the games I watched, I couldn't disagree more.

1st both are very very very good players. I will agree with many of the posters but having watched both since their 8th grade years I will say the Q overall is the better PG, and that is to take nothing away from Bolden. IMO Q has a much better shot and is equal in his handling of the ball with both hands. His vision is superior and does get his players involved much more (i.e. his teammates better be looking for his passes or they will get drilled in he head). As stated by several, Bolden tends to be too left-hand dominant from time to time and can over-dribble BUT if you want a player to take the final shot of game to win it, it's a toss up as either can get to the basket when ever they want or drill a 20ft jumpshot. Size will matter at the next level but Bolden does have another year to add bulk, as Q used to carry the same type of build, but height wise it may become an issue but he will handle that I'm sure.

Both of these players can flat out get it done with no questions asked and knowing both I wish them nothing but success. I'd take either one to run my team and you just never know, they both may get that match-up everyone wants to see come Sweet 16 time as both teams have more than of a legit shot of getting there again this year.

Seen Bolden very closely 2 times last year and several times from the stands and seen Snider at State Tourney. Bolden is better scorer and Snider is a true point. They are 2 very different players in 2 different systems. Would love to have either or both.
