The Rams get back in action at Nicholas County following what imo was a much needed break. Nicholas (2-4) has had a rough season this year. Raceland (4-2) has lost twice, once to a good 4A Ashland and again to a tough 3A Lawrence Co. by a total of 6pts.

Hopefully Raceland will be healed up a little after the bye following two very tough, physical games. This one is the District opener for both teams.

What are everyone's thoughts and/or predictions for this one ?

Raceland should cruise in this one and it will be interesting to see how the Rams come off that tough homecoming loss vs. Lawrence Co.. Being a long time Raceland fan 45+ yrs. I have seen a lot of "strange..suprising??" things happen to the Rams in Carlile through the years.

Rams - as doc would say "TCB". Go out and play good, tough, hard hitting Ram football. Stay away from all the, lets say "extra" junk and you will be fine. "Respect All, Fear No One"

Raceland 45

After the off week the Rams should dominate their lesser opponent this week. More important it is time the seniors leader on this team step up and lead not only by example but vocally also. Those leader need to make sure every player, every play is doing the right thing are in the same place and they should make sure they are checking each other. If this game is close it falls fully on the senior leaders for not taking the extra effort to do what senior leaders are required to do.

Prediction, 56-6 Rams.

Doc, don't you believe it. The forecasters can not predict what will happen when the Rams come into Carlisle. It causes some kind of metereologiocal oddity or something.

All kinds of really strange things happen when Raceland visits Carlisle, KY. :scared:, Trust me doc. I have much experience on this trip and fair city. Ram can inform you on maybe a couple but most are tales only experienced Ram Fans....old school Ram fans can tell. :sssh: Anything from pickled eggs to misunderstood invitations and then some. Lets just say "I have lived to tell it all" but not sure I want to.

Now, as for the actual football game......RAMS, right now/today starts the "real" , District season.

Focus on your goals and what you want to accomplish. Time for all the talk ends this week, time to play Ram Football begins........

RAM PRIDE !!

I'll never forget several years back when a "newer" Ram fan began chastising me for setting up a canopy and putting on my rain gear while at Nicholas County. The sun was shining, and he made reference to his phone saying, "what are you doing? The radar is clear". I just continued to prepare for 40 days and nights of rain. He scoffed and shook his head at my preparation.

Two minutes before kickoff, a deluge began, sideways rain, gusting winds, mud everywhere. There I stood, in my rain gear under my canopy dry as could be. I yelled at this newer Ram fan, and asked him what the radar looked like now. He didn't respond as he stood in the rain with no protection other then his ball cap. He must not have been able to hear my question due to the strong wind and constant hum of rain hitting the ground.

Never question the Ram about the weather at Nicholas County. That is the moral of the story kids.
