October 8, 201312 yr Tip of the cap to the Dodgers. I wish the Braves could have gotten it to Kimbrel, but the whole night felt like waiting for the other shoe to drop. Then it did. Best of luck moving forward if we have any Dodger fans on here.
October 8, 201312 yr I don't get trying to save Kimbrell till the 9th. You have to win tonight. If you win this one then they have to start Nolasco. Throw Kimbrell 2 innings and win this one. Good win for the Dodgers and their fans.

Good win for the Dodgers and their fans. They don't throw Kimbrel for six out saves often, if ever. I'm actually not certain when/if they have. I'm going to fight the urge to go off on Gonzalez. But it does feel pretty hollow to have lost that without giving Kimbrel a shot. On a team with no starting ace, you gotta use the one you have and that's your closer.

Heck, he has only had 3 4-out saves in his entire career.
October 8, 201312 yr In hindsight, the logic is you bring in Kimbrel to face 5-6-7 hitters which includes Puig leading off. He gets 8-9 potentially to start the ninth. The leadoff Crawford is the most daunting.
October 8, 201312 yr They never have. Heck, he has only had 3 4-out saves in his entire career. I'm sure he's thrown 50 pitches plenty of times over all the years he's been a pitcher. There is no tomorrow in the postseason. But hey, he'll be pitching on 180 days rest now.
October 8, 201312 yr Author Truth hurts? No not actually. Just funny seeing people always revert back to the same ole things about this being a team that can't win in the postseason. So what, Dodgers just played better. I don't even think the Braves were favored by many people at all. The better team won.
October 8, 201312 yr Author Braves had roughly $80-90 million sitting on the bench tonight...Sad part is they were both healthy to play, they just suck.

Weren't all of you Braves fans on here sparring with Cardinals fans over the best record in the NL? -I seem to remember that.
