We won't know how good Trinity is in 2013 until this Friday. For all we know the teams they have played so far could all be overrated. Until we see how they fare against St. X on Friday we don't know anything. If St. X wins then what does that tell us about Trinity in 2013?
You are dead wrong. Colerain and Ensworth would mop up the balance of the Kentucky competition.

Let the BG people have their moment. They had the opportunity 4 years ago to continue the series where "the question" could actually be proven on the field but they opted to stop actually playing Trinity. Now all they have (or may have depending on what happens Friday) we beat someone you lost to, or we beat someone worse then you did so we're better then you.

Bowling Green's goal isn't to beat Trinity or to be the overall best team in the state. Their goal is to win state championships. Just like Trinity's. BG doesn't need to schedule Trinity to win state championships.

Then if I say that Trinity is the best team in the state you're OK with that?

So....you are OK if Trinity's goals are to win state not be a mythical champion?

Not necessarily the case.

Absolutely. At the end of the day I could care less what Trinity's goals are. All I have stated concerning Trinity's goals is that I am very certain that the players paid close attention to their national ranking and that the statement that the Trinity program plays down the national ranking isn't necessarily a true statement. Especially considering the fact that in 2011 Trinity and John Bosco were trying to set up a game to play in December (after their goal of winning state had been accomplished) that got shot down.

If I'm a Trinity fan, then I want my team to want to be the best they can realistically be. Since the best that Trinity can realistically be is a national contender/mythical national champion, then I'd hope that's what they're striving for. Maybe that's too "rah rah" and too much of a "go-getter" attitude, but what's really wrong with them wanting to be the best?

You know you wanted to see the 2011 Trinity team win the "mythical national championship" and that's fine. If I were a big Trinity fan, I'd have wanted just the same. I was glad they won it and represented Kentucky and raised the state's profile on the whole.

Point of fact (not that those have seemed to have matter much in this thread). Trinity had nothing to do with a possible game with Don Boscoe. They were approached by a sports promotion group interested in setting it up.
