Both teams coming off a loss who do you think wins and why?

I think Morgan and Fussinger have a big game and get the win.

Cooper could sure use the win. They had their opportunities against Scott. Even though Cooper is 2-4 they could easily be 5-1. Defense needs to step up and force Barker into some bad decisions. Barker will put up points and yardage for Cooper to win they must start forcing turnovers. I have yet to see any monster hits by Coopers defense. I don't want to see any dirty hits but someone needs to step up and be the enforcer on the defense.

Love Aaron Morgan but he just doesn't have enough help. I expected Cooper to drop but didn't think Conner would fall this far. Taking Conner by a big number to get back on track.

What do you mean he doesn't have enough help? Have you paid attention and watched the team this year?

 

Everyone has always talked about A Morgan and not even paid attention to the rest of the team and the huge contributions made this year by others And A Morgan would be the first to tell you that. This Varsity team is full of players that put the team first and aren't selfish at all and when you look at this years team compared to years past you would know the biggest difference is the young line on both sides of the ball, but they continue to improve each and every week.

 

Coopers offense for instance has passed better than any other year. They have the best receivers than anytime before and their QB is putting up better passing numbers than any team in school history. When you say Morgan has no help I wonder if you realize he's not even leading in receptions or yards etc. This isn't, nor has ever been a one man team and I know with the type of character A Morgan is he would be pretty upset with a comment like that. He is as much a team player than all the rest even if the rest aren't even mentioned by many around the area.

 

Cooper is full of players that have widely been ignored which none of them really care about. This all starts at the top with Coach Borchers. He has always instilled the team concept and the boys have bought in. If it weren't for folks on here to acknowledge some of the players on the team and their big contributions I doubt anyone except for the coaches would even know many of the players.

 

I do wish however the opponents coaches would ignore the rest of the team like many on here have lol. Unfortunately they know better. I talk to a certain coach at Conner a lot and he definitely knows about all the players on Cooper and who to scheme against and try to slow down.

I agree for the most part of what Hellbird has said. Cooper has plenty of receivers. This is not a one man receiving corp. The rest of the receivers have actually done a better job this year than Morgan has. Will has the ability to find the open targets. Last year Morgan was free on pass plays as the opposition was more concerned about the running game. This year the running game is not existent. Because of that teams are manhandling Morgan. Campbell county physically beat him up on both sides of the ball. Last week Cooper had way to many dropped passes. Of the 12 incomplete passes roughly 7 or 8 were in the receivers hands and they failed to make the play. You are always going to have a couple drops at this level but that was uncharacteristically high for this team. Especially on the last drive when it mattered most.

 

I would love to see cooper go back to Bricking at Tailback with 4 wide and just air it out every play, and run draws. There are too many receivers for everyone to be covered. Will will find the open receiver.

Morgan is the best player the Jag's have. Conner has the better player (Barker) and more skilled players in my opinion. I'm not trying to say anything negative about your Jag's other than they aren't as good as they were last year and have lost more than Conner has.

May I ask what Jags games have you seen this year so far?

I don't know if I completely agree with you that Morgan is the best Jags player. He is an exceptional player but he has flaws that teams are exposing them.

Looking from the outside in or from last year's perspective, one might think Morgan would be the best player on Cooper's squad this year. So far, I would say that has not been the case. The kid is as athletic as can be, but is not achieving anything like his 2012 self. Love to have him back to his full Jag Swag this week! (I know, the boys HATE that expression!)
