McCracken County 53 Fort Campbell 17

I've said all along that McCracken County was a top 10 team in Class 6A. I think they made their statement tonight

I attended game, McCracken County QB did whatever and whenever against Ft. Campbell, with damn good supporting cast of players. Also, MCC QB faked, twisted and spurned at least three Fort Campbell defenders enroute to 30yd run. MCC defense is fast and physical. MCC is well coached team.

Impressive statement by McCracken.

Without a doubt, our pollsters are missing out, this is by far the best team west of BG (including Mayfield)and its not even close in my opinion and will prove it. This bunch will just continue to get better. I am glad Mayfield got them early before the monster woke

Anytime you take a brand new team and combine 3 schools, it takes a little while for them to find that right combination and players have to find there roles on said new team. 3-4 weeks of summer practices just isn't enough time for the coaches to evaluate this many kids and get them in the right positions to maximize there talents. I said early on that wait till about week 6 or 7 and you'd see a totally different team. I even said I expected McCracken to run the table after the Mayfield loss. I'm sticking by that statement. Henderson Co will challenge them, for sure, but, when all's said and done, I think McCracken will beat them by a couple of scores, at least. This team has the potential to play right with teams like Male, Scott Co, etc. Don't think they're at Trinity's level, but, could go toe to toe with about any other 6a team, strickly from a talent standpoint, anyway.

I'm surprised McCracken received no votes in the AP poll. Surprisingly, Daviess Co. got a few.

The Mustangs are going to shock a lot of people before this season is over!

So beating a 2-4 3A Ft. Campbell team suddenly makes you a 6A monster?

No, it's there players & coaches that make them that. The FtC win was a solid win but has nothing to do with my opinion of McCracken. Strictly for warning some like yourself that this team is talented and you should keep your eyes on them

Their resume doesn't stop there. After two close losses to traditional powers, this new squad has come together very nicely. They clobbered Bullitt Central shutting down their strong running game.

Fort Campbell's record doesn't reflect that they are still a quality team. They pushed #1 Caldwell Co. to the maximum.

They'll get a test against Graves this Friday. They deserve as much or more consideration as Henderson and Daviess.
