Ballard Memorial has been on the radar but their schedule is a step above Pop Warner right now.

 

As far as the gap goes, Caldwell County reminded me of the Fort Campbell teams from 2007-09 -- able to line up and do just about whatever they wanted to when they wanted to. Not to mention explosive.

 

However, the gap between DeSales, Caldwell, and Glasgow isn't that large. DeSales has played the better schedule of the three and Glasgow appears to have the best defense of the three. Caldwell has the best offense.

Doing work is what NCC and Caldwell County were doing this time last year. Caldwell did not hit their stride until the playoffs .

Bardstown gets a tune up this week against Fort Knox, and then consecutive weeks against Desales and Christian Academy. We will know more about all of them after the dust settles from those matchups.

Look, not to discount the head coach but Bardstown has the best Asst. Coach in the State, do not under estimate what he can help them achieve. Bardstown IMO is about to go on a run of deep runs in the playoffs over the next several years...write it down.

They both are impressive. David has done a great job engineering a system. Coach Smith just is enjoyable to watch in practice (Drill, drill, drill some more). Joey Downs has even been out there helping out some, and Bob Blackmon coaches the line. So you have both the current and former head coaches at Bardstown, the former head coach at Boyle and UK linebackers coach, and the former head coach at Paducah Tilghman out there, along with a bevy of younger coaches, including several with college football playing experience. That is good for kids.
