Beg to differ. Bonnafon is extremely mobile, T doesn't have a 6'4 receiver and T's defense isn't what moellers will be.

 

I honestly didn't know anything about Moeller, but know they are a well coached team like Trinity and this will be prepared for with the same mentality in trying to stop numerous weapons. Totally different offenses, but same final goal. Just want the Tigers to get their first statement win of the season! Roll Tigers!

Quite simple keys to win: get walker the ball, short quick passes, play with discipline.

Moe can beat you in the air or on the ground and has multiple weapons to do so. Stop one part of their game and Moe will beat you with the other! Oh BTW, you won't and can't stop both!

 

The "D" especially the young man who is going to O$U will, if he hits you, will drop any runner down now, he impressed me to no end!

 

Moe is better than last year and you can take that one to the bank!

 

Oh and while the starting QB is outstanding, the second string QB would start for most teams in NKy or Ky in general!

 

Since Moe is so much closer to home and Coach Rodenberg coached CovCath to a KHSAA State Championship and he is now the Moe head coach and our current CovCath Coach, Coach Wirth is a former Moe grad, I got to root for Moe! Moe by 2TD's

But that's not what we were discussing. You were talking about walker and his ability to finish the game if met by Hubbard, so I told you he has fared quite well against him. As far as why you play the game, that's not what I responded too, but that's more than just walker or Hubbard or even the players themselves.

Outside of Hubbard, Moeller's defense is slow and not very athletic. Not sure how fast/quick/athletic St. X's skill players are but if they can get the ball in space, they will have success against this defense. Now, stopping Moeller's offense is another challenge in and of itself but it too can be slowed down.

 

This Moeller team is NOT as good as last year's State Title winning squad, IMO. Not yet anyway. They may be by the time the playoffs roll around but not yet.

I'm going to assume that Hubbard has played in at least one fo the previous 2 meetings between the two teams, so I would assume that Walker and some of the other players are aware of his ability.

 

Moeller is going to be big and physical, X is big too, but I'm not for sure how physical they are this year.

It's been close the past 2seasons, what reason do we have to believe it won't be close this season?

I believe this will be the 5th meeting that I can remember, and other than the '04 meeting these games have been pretty competetive. I think the game will be competetive and the team that wins the turnover margin will win. Also, can't leave points on the field; when given the opportunity to score a TD X must capitalize on it.
