A fellow poster and I had some discussions about this game on the way home. He said that even though Highlands won, he felt as if they had lost. My reply was that every Highlands game does not have to have a running clock nor should it be expected. Highlands found out a lot of things about themselves as a football team. They were put to the test on many fronts both physically and emotionally and came out of the game with a victory. Now you take what you learned from this game, make the necessary adjustments and get ready to play the next opponent on your schedule. It is a long season and I am pretty sure that this will not be the last time that the Birds are tested.

 

Did most Highlands fans really think they would get a running clock on John Hardin? I know John is down from the last few years but cmon, they still have a lot of talent and can compete with any team in this state not named Trinity when they are playing to their potential.

Trotwood in 2007 and Elder in 2011. That is about it during the streak or all-time for that matter unless you want to count Jacksonville University Christian.

 

Don't forget the 12-7 win over Cincy St. X on T.V. in '09.

Also, if we are talking all-time I put the 7-3 upset win over PT in '89 in there considering PT had a load of talent/ recruits etc. The Tornado were stunned. The UK bball win over Ohio St. a few years ago in the tourney was similar in my mind.

His foot injuries really hindered his development at NewCath. He has had to play catch up, but is definitely working hard. Looks like a new kid after a couple of off seasons in Lexington.

Did he ever redshirt? If so he has 3 years left, correct?
