Seems fair. What would it take for Trinity to fall from #1 in the next few weeks? I know they don't play a Kentucky team until district play and obviously a loss to X or Male would knock them down. But if they continue to lose to out-of-state teams, albeit good teams, do the rankings get adjusted?

I'm not sure, even if Trinity loses every out-of-state game, that I will think any 6A Kentucky team is better than them.

I like Tates Creek to make a move into the Top 10 soon. Games against Henry Clay, Bryan Station and Dixie Heights over the next 4 weeks should show if they belong.

I agree unless an in state team beats them they should be considered the #1 team not just in 6A but I could agrue #1 in the state. I think that SC, X, BG & Highlands could give them a run for the position. Thats not saying they couldnt win either, the could. The reason I put T at the top is because quality of depth and right now I dont think any team can match their depth which give T the edge.

Trinity is getting very tough to rank. They are probably playing the best team on their schedule this week in Cincinnati Colerain. If they win that one, they should stay #1 the rest of the way unless X gets them. If Trinity loses, what do you do? They are the underdog in the game. I hate to see teams penalized when they lose to a really good team that they aren't favored to beat ... but 1-3? That would be tough to handle and keep Trinity number 1 despite the schedule. Meanwhile, the team that would replace them (Scott County) is playing someone who barely has one win. In fact, no one behind Trinity is going to get an inspiring win this week. Man, what a crappy lineup of opponents. I hate rewarding teams that play weak schedules. So I just talked myself through this. It doesn't matter what happens this week - Trinity should still be #1 next week.

This is what I don't understand. If a coach from a team in ky wants to start competing and getting past the shock factor of the big schools and he calls to schedule one, the big school should turn them Down? Serious question.

I think you're probably right

I am confident some KY additions may appear as early as next year on Trinity's schedule. I feel basketball games could help create some new or renew some football matchups. For now, Trinity should remain atop the 6A rankings until a local team at least threatens them head-to-head.
