September 8, 201313 yr About how I thought the game would go but I am optimistic about ND. Gardner was the difference maker. ND controlled the line of scrimmage on both sides and continuously got pressure on Gardner, but to his credit he got hit time and again but still delivered. Michigan was not as athletically impressive, but they always seemed to be 1 step ahead of the Irish with their gameplan and execution. Comparing the Irish talent across the board compared to what Weis did is night and day. The "house" was rocking last night. Great atmosphere.

September 8, 201313 yr Did you see Brady Hoke shrug his shoulders and smile when Michigan scored on a broken play? Seems like a pretty good guy. I agree Gardner was the difference, although 21 was tough as a WR.
September 8, 201313 yr The pick before the half and the phantom PI call late in the game killed ND. Also, it seemed like they just couldn't get off the field on 3rd down. I'm waiting to see Collinsworth get some more playing time. It seems like he makes plays when he's in there. The other safeties had a lot of missed tackles and coverage issues last night. Doesn't he start?
