Thomas had a huge game. I'm not sure how many points he had, but he carried the Tomcats to the win IMO. Another consistent game from McDavid with probably around 15. Huge win for the Tomcats.

Ashland is a bizarre team this year! Unless Elliott just didn't play well, then I guess Ashland could beat any 16th Region team on a given night or lose to any as well!

Both teams played REALLY well tonight! Ashland shot 55% from the field, 70% from 3, and was 20/26 at the line. Ashland hit 17 of 19 in the 4th quarter from the foul line, and 20/26 for the game. I dont know Elliots stats, but they shot the ball really well tonight. McDavid had 25 and 7, Thomas scored 21, Wilcox with 14, Williams with 9, Cannoy with 8, and Reliford had 2. I was impressed with Weddington, and the Faulkner kids played well, they have great court awareness. Elliots D is also impressive, they really get after it with great team quickness.

Congratulations Tomcats!!! Nice win over a very good Elliott Co. team!!!! This could be a watch out the Cats are coming!!!! ( and not the ones in Lexington either)!!!!

Ashland just shot really well tonight. But the entire Elliot team has very active hands, and their full court press worked well at times.

This just confirms my statement earlier - when Wilcox, Williams, and Cannoy put up some offense, the Tomcats are a tough team to beat. When it is McDavid and Thomas alone, we struggle to be mediocre. From listening to the internet, it sounded like Ashland was moving the ball around on offense well.

I will add though that I heard the end of the game and Ashland did shoot a few down the stretch when Elliott was forced to foul, so it might not be as bad as it looks.

Well looked like Ashland played better than Elliott, mostly on the rebounds. But I was looking for a more closer game this, but not as many points!!
