Mayfield QB carves up Falcons in season opener

 

FORT CAMPBELL, KY. — Mayfield quarterback Jake Guhy may be ready for a residency. The Cardinal senior was surgical throughout the night, carving up Fort Campbell’s defense in the passing game as Kentucky’s No. 1-ranked Class A program arrived at Fryar Stadium and drilled the Falcons 37-21Friday in both teams’ season opener.

 

Guhy finished 18-for-24 for 325 yards and five touchdowns with one pick. Most of the Cardinal’s big plays in the passing game came from Guhy and Deion Jackson. The wideout caught four passes for 145 yards and scored three times, including a 74-yard TD to start the game and a 45-yard scoring catch to start the second quarter

Trying to figure out what happened to a player who reminded me of a good friend who probably wont make it through the week?

 

I guess i dont see what in the world you guys are talking about. It doesnt take a genius to be confused as it appeared that #53 was no longer on your roster. When Mayfieldsportsfan told me who it was ... it made a ton more sense because the young man in question was listed on the roster wearing a different number ... and after looking ... he was listed as having the different number last year.

 

Your buddies were the ones who were "brash" .... and decided to act like there was some huge conspiracy.

 

If i was trying to mess with you guys .... I have a feeling that i could do that in 3 words or less.

 

For once ... why dont you call out your fanbase for assuming that the world starts and ends at the Mayfield city limits.

Not real big ... but quick off the ball ... and scrappy.

 

Yeah well .. my buddy that #53 reminded me of ... is really sick ... having a very hard time (like .. not making it type of hard time)

Lord forbid that certain players catch my eye ... remind me of guys I play with.

Not to mention that the guy is no longer on your roster ...

 

If I need to put up some clips of #53 ... I will be more than willing to do it ... real classy.

We never know what your agenda is....

I knew Mayfield QB Guhy was having his way but I did not realize he was 15 of 17 for 286 yards and 4 TD's at the half. Man he is a weapon. Mills, in a quiet, workman like manner racked up 91 yards rushing and a lot of that was in the 3rd and 4th quarters when Mf decided to ground and pound
