August 22, 201313 yr Memphis is expected to be pretty strong this year. But it's UL's out of conference that lacks IMO. With a bunch of veterans returning & with the year in this conference, I think they would have done well to beef it up more than they did. Agree.

So this is what we're stuck with for another year until Duke and UNC come to town. Louisville might get punished come time for seeding in March, but coming off a title and returning 7 of the 9 leading scorers, most people will know what Louisville's capable of. I'm not half as worried about the hoops schedule as I am the football schedule... which maybe isn't surprising since I buy football tickets and not basketball tickets.
August 22, 201313 yr Not surprisingly, VOR hasn't made his way in here to complain about the UofL schedule....
September 17, 201313 yr Louisville's officially added three Red/White scrimmages to the schedule. They'll all take place at the Yum Center. Oct. 5, 12, 19. I'll be at both the Oct. 5 and the Oct. 19. I'll be at a wedding in Tennessee on Oct. 12.
September 17, 201313 yr Here we go again... The old "well the middle of our conference is comparable to mid-SEC teams". Please, try to prove that.
September 17, 201313 yr Here we go again... The old "well the middle of our conference is comparable to mid-SEC teams". Please, try to prove that. I didn't think that argument was all that old. I've only seen it this year. Over the last several seasons, the middle of Louisville's league was vastly better than the middle of the SEC.
September 17, 201313 yr Here we go again... The old "well the middle of our conference is comparable to mid-SEC teams". Please, try to prove that. That's funny. I think the one person who alluded to that isn't even a UL fan. What's funnier is that the initial poster called the schedule weak and then tried to trump up Southern Miss and Memphis. The known UL fans said it was a weak schedule. One even said 36-0 heading into the tournament. I see somebody reaching for an argument that doesn't exist.

Big East teams don't lose to Robert Morris in the first round of the NIT like middle of the pack SEC teams do.

September 17, 201313 yr I'm not going to go 'round and 'round like the football thread. Have fun playing paddy cake all season.
September 17, 201313 yr Sarcasm? Yeah, obviously their conference was better last year. I was talking about this year in my original post. As I mentioned before This is a pointless discussion the UL fans will defend their schedule to the death citing the conference realignment as the reason. Which is fine, but the schedule still sucks. Can't wait for 12/31!
