August 21, 201313 yr Oh wow. Talk about battle-tested for both sides. UK will have run its usual SEC gauntlet and Louisville will have completed its first season of ACC competition. I love those non-conference rivalry matchups late in the season like Georgia-Georgia Tech and Clemson-South Carolina.
August 21, 201313 yr I'm of two minds. What don't you like? I've always hated the late season OOC games, and Louisville has never really played in them. Too much possibly on the line to face an OOC opponent that late and risk injury in a game, that if you are already at your 7+ wins, means nothing.

Maybe it will grow on me. I'm with you on the third week thing. It made it tougher for us to find a good TV spot for the game. Got relegated to some pretty rough spots a couple times. I guess that holds double for the last week of the season. This year it'd be going toe-to-toe with UGA/GaTech, USC/Clemson, Alabama/Auburn, Ohio State/Michigan, Notre Dame/Stanford, Florida/Florida St., and USC/UCLA just to name the top of the list.

August 21, 201313 yr Also, big up to the SEC for having the 2014 schedule out already. I think Louisville has dates for the early games against FIU and Marshall and no others... and heck, if I had to guess, I think Louisville's going to buy out of that Marshall game to get another home game since we picked up that game at Notre Dame.
