Not even sure if numbered Jerseys have been given out to the Frosh, but I will say this, when CovCath does play HHS at HHS this year on Thursday 9/19, you can bet I will have a roster for the HHS student who will doing the PA job.

That is why I asked Coach prior to posting this and he didn't seem to mind one bit!

Fun night for the CovCath Frosh, their parents, fans and indeed a very nice crowd who had to wait for over an hour due to the weather.

 

Team was split up evenly and it was competitive.

 

TOG was most impressed with the following players.

 

Alex Shelton: The young man can go after the ball and when he gets it in his hands, well he can out run you and or run you over. Extremely impressed with the young man

 

Anthony Best: Hard hitting player, that can also move well, like his older brother Michael. Good hands, and great football instinct.

 

Kyle Crail: Another hard hitting player who can read a defense and understands how to play his position.

 

Cole Vanhandorf: Can throw deep, throw short, and has that soft touch pass down pat already. Oh you just might be surprised how fast and tough he is too.

 

Fun evening of watching the "Seniors in Training" play and Coach Edgington and his staff have to be happy.

Well congrats to the young man on a good game. Is he still at that slot receicver? Or has he change positions. And I will say it again, Tony Hentz is a great QB.

Cant wait for the game on 10/2 vs. Conner. Hearing great things about that team as well.

Fun group to watch. Too bad it was cut short by the storms.

 

As expected, Shelton is an animal and just goes and gets the ball. Cole more comfortable with his feet than his arm right now but that is coming. Best might be a better Corner than RB and he's a very good RB. Other very nice RB's in Schrand and Crowe. Thiel and Crail will make a great impact on both sides as WR/ Safety's. O and D line had bright spots with Ziegelmeyer, Pilger, Kunkel and Kuhr.

Brent Angel will be a great addition to the wide receiver core. Big, strong and fast great combo for that spot. Been a little banged up but ready to back at it I hear thru the crew on the hill.

I believe it is his son. Also, Bill Hentz is coaching the Quarterbacks for the 7th and 8th grade CYF teams. He does a great job and the kids love him.
