AJ Green Hurt At Camp - Heads To Locker Room With Possible Knee Injury

Featured Replies

From the original pic it looked like you could see one of the trestle's from the bridge in the background on the upper right hand side of the pic. If that's the case then the throw would've came from the south end of the field which would put them on the far left field if you're facing north. In the google earth pic it looks like there's bushes there. regardless it seems dumb having rocks any where within 10-15 yards of the field.

When I first heard I just about got sick. That would be the Bengals luck to have something like that happen. I am glad to hear he is ok, but I will be more happy once he starts practicing again and shows that he is truly ok.

Boy, that title made my heart go to my throat.

Exactly right, south-west corner of the complex, right by the large shed / facility down there. They are having problems with the grass because it hasn't been hot enough for the bluegrass to really take-off.

AJ was walking around at practice in just a sleeve, looks to be fine.

Looks like a hyper extension to me

But why would you feel sick? It wouldn't have anything to do with the team having a serious drop off at wr after AJ because they did nothing in free agency to address that weakness would it? After all if they are one of the most talented Bengals teams ever or even one of the most talented in the NFL this year as you've said then they should be fine no matter if they lose AJ or not right?

One of the top WR's in football. He was thought about in their off season plan correct? Knowing having him means teams will double team him correct? Which means drafting a top TE, and a play making running back would make the offense better correct? Also what fan in their right mind would not feel sick if one of their best players got hurt?

You still haven't post back in the other thread about the most talented team since the 80's? Could it be because your argument was not valid since I said TEAM, and not just offense as you pointed out. You lose a lot of credibility when you try to argue things that there is nothing to argue about, just makes you look bad.

I will ask this since your still so hung up on this free agency thing. Which players in free agency should they have went after? Mike Wallace? Received a huge contract, so you wanted to have two WR's with huge contracts after they extend Green? Not to mention Wallace is a deep threat and what pass is the one we all agree on Dalton struggles with? The deep ball, but you wanted to get someone who's best route is the deep route. Hmmm makes sense. There was no free agent out there that would have made sense to over pay for that would have made that big of a difference. You don't overpay for someone that wouldn't have made your team better than the players you already have. Especially when it could risk you losing the star players you do have. You just need to get over on how you were wrong on that. The Bengals made the right move keeping the team intact, and then adding pieces through the draft to make it better. Now they do have the money to extend Geno, and then extend Green next off season when they are allowed to try to work an extension with him.

The Bengals played this off season perfectly and are set up to have money to keep their own players, which you have even said is where they screwed up in the past. Now they made sure they have the money to do it. Now if they don't extend Geno before next off season, then I will agree they are idiots for letting that happen.

You sure seem to have your feathers ruffled a bit future coach

I simply pointed out that for one of the most talented teams in the entire league that losing just 1 player shouldn't matter much, but you wrote 2 books about it which seems to contradict what you think about this team.

Guess I was right, losing AJ would be huge for a team with no other big offensive threats lol.

Still waiting to hear your argument back on how they are not the most talented team since the 80's. Then if they are not then which Bengals team since then is more talented then now? Which I know if you admit that this is the most talented team since then, that means your whole off season argument is pointless. So that means you can't dare admit that I am right, because that defeats everything you have said. :thumb:

Also please tell me once again which free agents they should have got that would have made sense? Also please tell me which teams and fan base would not feel sick if they lost one of the top playmakers in the game? Also tell me which teams would not be hurting if they lost their top WR? I mean did the Ravens address their WR's enough to not be hurt much if Torrey Smith goes down? Nope. What about Detroit if Calvin goes down? Nope. What about Pittsburgh who lost Mike Wallace? Did they do enough to help their team if Brown now gets hurt? What about the Cardinals if Larry goes down? Or the Giants if Cruz gets hurt? Or the Eagles since their guy got hurt? What about the 49ers were they prepared enough through free agency to deal with Crabtree getting hurt?

Your argument is that since I said I was almost sick because of Green being hurt, that shows that you were right? Man you keep losing credibility with stuff like that. What team would not be hurt if they lose their #1 guy, unless maybe you have a hall of fame QB like Brady or Manning. You just need to move on from your failed free agency argument man because it is very weak. Which I think you even know you are wrong, but now you just say stuff to get a response out of me. Which I admit you obviously did a good job at haha. :D

They should of got 1. a WR 2. a RB 3. a Safety either one of them would of helped. Why do you keep asking the same wuestion over and over again when you know as well as I know what their needs are. You are nothing more than a Mike Brown apologist, no matter what the Bengals do you think it's the best move period.

1. I think the Bengals like the receivers they have and using their first round pick on Eifert is a big addition to the receiving corp.

2. They got the RB in the draft also - Giovanni Bernard.

3. Yes, they fell short at safety.

I never agree with futurecoach about the Bengals, but the above is just so far off, it's laughable.

Let's take a look around the NFL and see how all the other playoff caliber teams would fair if their best player went down:

AFC

New England - Tom Brady: Safe to say they'd be terrible.

Pittsburgh - Ben Rothlisberger: We've seen them struggle without him in the past for short periods, they'd be done.

Baltimore - Ray Rice: They'd still be solid, maybe a fringe playoff team, but no where close to what they are now.

Houston - Arian Foster: Two words: Season over

Indianpolis - Andrew Luck: :lol2: Good luck without him.

Denver - Peyton Manning: Top 10 pick

NFC

NYG - Eli Manning: No chance

Dallas - Tony Romo: This team sucks with Romo, would be atrocious without him

Washington - RGIII: They'd be lucky to win 3-4 games.

Green Bay - No Aaron Rodgers equals no shot in hell at the postseason.

Minnesota - AP goes down, so does their season

Chicago - Brandon Marshall misses a significant amount of time and Cutler would have to throw it to himself.

Atlanta - Matty Ice: He goes down, does anyone think whomever the backup is could really be effective, even with those weapons?

New Orleans - This team sucked without their HC, they'd be atrocious without Brees.

San Francisco - If they lost Kaepernick, I can't imagine the offense doing enough to be more than a fringe contender.

Seattle - Beastmode goes down, and this team is in a world of hurt. Fringe contender at best.

So outside of Seattle, SF, and Baltimore, every team would suffer GREATLY if their top offensive guy goes down, and those 3 are considered the best 3 teams in the league. Every team would take a huge hit to their playoff hopes if they lost their star.

I agree 110% with what you said. Of we lose AJ we are in deep do do.

I was just trying to bring FCC back down to earth with his thoughts about how this team is one of the most talented etc. btw, the patriots did lose Brady for a season and still won 11 games.
