July 26, 201313 yr I think that was their best option. The Yanks didn't take much salary but it was more than what anyone else would offer. I think Theo/Hoyer are getting close to digging out from under the albatross contracts Jim Hendry left them with. I can see where they are building the team for the long-term. They are getting pitching back in every trade. But they have some prospects that should already have made an impact at the Major League level (Vitters, Jackson, Cabrerra) that have stalled at the AAA level.
