This thread kind of died out, but I wanted to say it was a lot of fun doing this and I think still a lot of room for debate on the teams. Have also been watching some "Classic" games the past few days on the NBA channel. I must say all it did was further my resolve of how good my team is, especially with Kareem and McHale at the 5 and 4 spots. Also saw Dumars last night in the 88 finals against the Lakers...gosh he was tenacious.

Lebron James...Wes Unseld...Unseld is an All-time Great but he's got nothing for LeBron

Hakeem Olajuwon...Kareem Abdul Jabbar...Would love to see this match up in their prime, Hakeem's Dream Shake vs Kareem's Skyhook

Karl Malone...Kevin McHale...McHale a little stronger inside, but the Mailman is a lot stronger on the wing and much faster and better shooter.

George Gervin...Rick Barry...Between them they couldn't guard a bag of donuts...but they could fill it up

Clyde Frazier...Oscar Robertson...Cylde was the best perimeter defender of his generation and Oscar was Magic before Magic

Allen Iverson...Joe Dumars...A.I.'s got this

Artis Gilmore...Dan Issel...A great Big vs a Great not quite as Big. Gilmore was the most athletic big man of the 70's, he would more than offset Issel.

David Thompson...Dave Bing...BING was GREAT, but David Thompson was a FREAK

Your team would be so slow they'd time them with a sundial...you know these games would be played with a shot clock, right? Might as well name your team the Cherries, they'd be so slow getting back on D it would like you had four guys "Cherry picking" and waiting for the ball at half court every possession. Maybe if we only played half court and make it take it, your team would have a slim chance.
