Which one is quick enough to guard a 3 or big enough to control a 4? I love them but Dirk isn't a big time defender and Russell can't guard everyone that comes in the paint by himself.

Picking Cats3X by a landslide. Most complete team (scorers, slashers, rebounders, bigs, shooters).

Russell would cover a multitude of sins. I'm not dumb enough to think my guys will lock anyone down, but Russell would do what Chandler did for the Mavs x 10 and cause just enough trouble for my boys to outscore everyone. If I didn't have Russell inside I'd say my team would have trouble getting enough stops to win, but with him I'm not worried in a series format.

The all "name" team. If you just glance at the rosters then this one will stand out to you, and you would be wrong of course. Don't get me wrong, a great roster, but let's look closer.

 

Magic needs the ball, yes he can be effective in any role, but he is literal magic with the rock. With him and Thomas I don't see it working. What is Thomas' role? Who will this duo matchup with? Is Magic going to guard a team's 2?

 

Shaq and Garnett are a good mix, Garnett likes the top of the key area while Shaq controls down low. But with Durant and his prolific scoring and need for the rock I don't see this working well at all.

 

Worthy I love, I thought about picking him at least twice, but passed.

Taking the best talent available. I took the best player available each time. Forget positions. Two of the best PGs of all-time can figure it out. There is a big drop off in 2 guards after the top few.
