Frankly at this point I would be happy with eastern if we could fill a spot. I would prefer a respectable name but if we need someone local I can live with it.

I was hoping for a 5A or 6A Kentucky team based on open dates listed on KHSAA open date list.

Trinity has open dates week 4 and week 9. Boyle County, Simon Kenton, Christian County, and Bowling Green list corresponding open dates for 2013 and 2014.

North Bullitt has week 4 and 9 open for 2013 only.

Chicago Marist recently opted out of playing the Rocks according to a prominent alumnus. If the listings are correct, hopefully someone in the Commonwealth will accept the challenge.:thumb:

I think everyone is too scared to play trinity. They are a powerhouse.

Especially week 9 with the playoffs in two weeks. Nobody wants to go in the playoffs with a MASH unit. Trinity is 3-4 deep at every position, the rest of us, well, are not!

I wouldn't think to put the Rocks on that level just yet. We have a fantastic history but the talent the last three years was among the best ever at the school

You're right, you're not a Highlands, haven't been around long enough.

See, you can be educated.

Or ignorant...

I just dont know what folks dont understand?

Its T and Highlands and then a day later the rest....Just sayin...

PepRock01, Don't tell that to the webmaster at the Trinity website. I cannot find it today, but once during the 2011 season, when I was reading the rather lengthy pregame notes, which includes all the previous result, etc, I noticed that have proclaimed themselves in the masthead as "The Kentucky Powerhouse." No humility there. I doubt that you will find anything like that at any other school website in the Commonwealth.

Actually, this statement appears on a large sign at Trinity's stadium.

I thought week 9 was a district game week?

Oh I am not claiming we aren't Kentucky's powerhouse, we just have a way to go before people can safely be predicting that we will destroy all out of state competition.

To be "The Kentucky Powerhouse" a team would have to be able to beat every other team in the state, and probably be favored in every "in-state" game. Nope, that's defiantly not Trinity.

Trinity and St. Xavier are permitted to play their district game week 6 each season. I understand Male and Manual agreed to this arrangement. The KHSAA had to grant their permission.

In state as well.

Was there ever an actual signed contract between T and Marist, or was it a verbal agreement? Also, did Marist provide a reason for backing out?
