I'd say Doc met with the team to discuss some things and I'm sure as brash as Rondo is he told him if he was going to flake on them like that he might as well hit the bricks and not come back. Only from what I've read not as nice.

June 24, 201313 yr All I am finding is that they got into it during the season and Doc wanted to fight Rondo. I can't find anything that says they got into it recently.

I read they met over the weekend sometime, maybe Friday or Saturday, and Rivers was informing the team he was coming back. Rondo then cursed at him, and Rivers reportedly got after him. That's the story I'm getting. Rivers did tell the Clippers Friday he was no longer interested, I think he met with his Celtics team sometime later to let them know. I think thats when it went down, but your right they have had a few dust ups in the past as well.

June 24, 201313 yr Who knows? Looking like they will not have to worry about it anymore though. I bet CP3 and Sterling are both happy now. CP3 gets the coach he wanted and Sterling doesn't lose his star player to free agency. No way Paul bolts after Clips make this move. Probably wasn't going anywhere anyway but this seals it.
