Great year for the Pandas!

In what part of the state is Livingston Central? Up here in N Ky - I have never even heard of them.

Smithland, Ky, about 20 miles east of Paducah

Tough play to end the game on. Wonder if the coaches discussed the possibility of this happening and what the outfielders should do, nonetheless a very difficult situation.

Congrats to the Pandas on a very successful season, a repeat of the Regional title next year is more than likely to happen.

What was the play?

What was the play?

Bottom of 7 game was tied at 3 bases loaded 1out. Everyone was in trying to stop run from scoring. Ball hit to foul territory behind 1st base about half way down the line. Right fielder made a sliding catch towards the fence and runner tagged to end the game. Right fielder was in no position to make a throw. Guarantee no one from this team will ever forget how to play that ever again. Good lesson learned. No regrets Pandas you have had a great season and have nothing to hang your heads about.

That really sucks,

I always say if your going to make a mistake make a hustle mistake and it sure sounds like that is what happened here.

Hey I have seen major league ballplayers in the playoffs make the same play. No shame in that as it is a tough one.

Great season NDA and to all the players and coaches, keep your heads up as you were great 9th Region champions!

NDA finished tied for 9th with a pretty tough draw losing to the tourney favorite who can finish no worst than 3rd and and a team that tied for 5th.

Great year NDA!

99.99% of high school players (boys and girls) are going to try to make the catch. The only way they do not is if the coach tells them to let it go. Instinct takes over.
