What does Somerset need to do to improve in 2013? What do they need to keep doing to be successful? Remember, please be constructive.

Does anyone have a complete schedule for Somerset? The KHSAA is incomplete.

and I think Glasgow is the ninth.

Do they plan to fill it up or is 9 all they can get?

They have tried a couple of other teams with open weeks and the last I had heard it wasn't going to happen. I think they had a game with Bourbon Co that got cancelled due to Bourbon double scheduling the same week (I think). Madison Southern was contacted as they only had 9 games but I read on another site that their coach liked his schedule they way it is.

9 games doesn't have to be a bad thing. Could even be a blessing.

In case Somerset is interested, I believe Henry Clay is also open during week 10.

Madison Southern was as well. I don't think either team was too anxious to play that game in week 10. I can't imagine the Jumpers wanting to play a 6A team the week before the playoffs.

No, I'd say not. And to me, that's the biggest problem with the scheduling grid. Why make teams go find a game? Why not play a district game, against a perceived rival, maybe for a district championship? Instead you've got teams playing all over the place.

Speaking of open dates, I recently saw that Leslie County had October 4 open, just like Somerset. Might those two look to meet up?

That's too bad. Obviously Somerset would be a favorite but it still would have given the kids at both schools another game.
