I don't know what these means. Only case I'm making is grown men shouldn't use excessive force on women. If your fine with excessive force on a woman just for back talk then we are worlds apart.

For 1, you said theey punched and kicked her...no they didn't. I don't care if it's a woman or not, shee needed not to resist period and because she did they did what they thought theyy needed to do to cuff her period. They didn't beat her like you make it sound. I just ask don't exagerrate to try and get your point across, there is no reason to.

I never said they punched her. I said I don't think men should punch women. She lost a tooth my man that is excessive . Ill say it again if it took two grown men such excessive force to handcuff a woman they were in the wrong profession . No way the action justified the response and I'm proven right by the fact the cops are now jobless.

They are currently jobless. Many of these officers appeal and our reinstated by an arbritrator. I was reading an article Cincinnati has fired 35 officers in last 10 years and 19 got reinstated, including a case where the victim won a 6.5 million judgement. Eleven were upheld and five didn't appeal. Just because they are fired now, doesn't mean they'll stay that way. That's why they have a union.

What good is arbitration if it leads to this?

Hellbird, they slammed her head on the counter then pulled her hair and drug her down a hallway... There is a reason I dint include officer in that sentence is because that is assualt in the everyday sense, and that is because they are officers, they should be able to restrain themselves from using excessive force when subduing a woman. I'm sorry but you miss the point on this...

If an officer is trying to arrest me and I resist then go for it.

You do know there is a recourse you can take if you think you were handled excessiveely don't you? Lawyers love those kind of cases.

 

 

So let me toss this out there.......what should the officers of done? The woman clearlly wasn't allowing them to cuff her, what would you have done? Don't tell me yoou would of sat there and asked her pretty please with sugar on top.

 

Um, they could've started with not grabbing her by the hair of her head and escalating it from there.

 

Honestly, even with this being a big, strong girl, those guys haven't missed too many buffets either and are no slouches in the size category. If, between the two of them, they can't grab her arms and force her into submission, they're pretty sad excuses for cops, and make the whole profession look bad. Probably why we have three pages worth of this thread and not a one of our known LEOs has chimed in.

 

Elsewhere in this thread you keep harping about kicking and punching, as though that's the only way to injure someone. Hell, I learned enough in two weeks as a bouncer to subdue someone better than that, sans kicking/punching, and I wouldn't even leave a mark. I'm going to give these guys the benefit of the doubt and say that whatever she was saying on the phone call was loud enough to upset the officer who clicked her off. And, I'm betting she had nothing nice to say in the couple of minutes after that. Still doesn't mean she needed her head slammed on the countertop hard enough to break a tooth.

 

Our system requires governmental agents to be held to a higher standard than average Joe Citizen. If they can't operate above the fray, they don't need to be in that position of authority, because they will invariably abuse it. We've already lost complete faith in the ability of our members of congress and the president to be above that. Same goes for the state legislature. All we have left is our local officials, and if they're just as bad, we might as well break up our governmental system, as there seems to be no hope for ending the corruption.

 

Just because someone is in a position of authority doesn't mean they're always right, and will always do the noble thing. Unfortunately, they're far too often just like the rest of us hooligans.

First off show me where I said the officers were always right? My entire point is that everyone on here is making it sound like the rodney King beating when it was nothing close. You do know officers are taught several tactics for subduing an suspect don't you? Maybe you don't know, but I will tell you they are trained several different ways and maybe you don't like it, they were able to subdue her without beating the crap out of her. I said numerous times they could of done a better job at it, b ut it wasn't a beat down like you all are wanting to make it be.

 

I'm not losing sleep over an idiot, whether it be a male or female, who refuses to obey a lawful order and end up getting a boo boo.

I'm a realist. There are lots of great people in law enforcement, who do things by the book. There are also lots of dirty cops out there who make the rest of the profession look bad. I recognize that there are good eggs and bad seeds in every profession, and law enforcement is no exception.

 

I have a friendly relationship with many of the law enforcement personnel here in Nelson Co. If I had as much animosity toward them as you seem to believe, why would I bother to even speak to any of them, let alone on a friendly basis?

I just found it interesting that I had you pegged for someone who would most of the time be against law enforcement and then go and read your posts in the other thread and right away you bring up something that didn't need to be in there in the first place.

 

Your assumptions toward police officers are exactly what I thought. You can't make a comment in a thread without bashing them in some manner.
