Hellbird, if what they did wasn't a big deal, how come they're on the unemployment line today?

 

Just throwing this out there, maybe they lost their job due to the "racial tension" mentioned among this community and the only way to help ease that is to fire these two officers. Not saying they were in the right or wrong that is not for me to decide. We have no idea the rest of the story. Simply stating they were wrong because they lost their job is assuming a lot. The lady clearly resisted arrest and they used force to cuff her. I would guess there is more we don't know than we know.

So what are police supposed to do vs. a combative female, in your opinion?

 

Restrain her not assault her. When I was in college I worked in a psych ward and I was able to restrain men and women much larger than this without the excessive force used. I didn't say play patty cake with them. But punching kicking slamming a head or pulling hair are not restraining techniques they are offensive techniques designed to cause harm not restrain. If their lives were in danger I would understand . But if these officers really were that intimidated by her again they are in the wrong line of work to begin with.

You said no one should hit a woman. If a woman is actively fighting a police officer you think they should just restrain her? I'm not talking about this specific incident.

Just so I'm clear, if a police officer tells someone to be quiet and they keep talking, you'd be okay with them knocking them out? I mean you said if you don't obey, you don't care if they end up hurt.

The first paragraph tells me all I need to know about your attitude towards law enforcement. They can do no wrong in your eyes.

 

As to your scenario, they should've acted like law enforcement officers and handcuffed her. She was resisting, she wasn't being physical or touching them. Together two grown men should've fairly easily been able to restrain her enough to slap handcuffs on her.

Unless she's Rhonda rousey most men and without a doubt two men should be able to restrain an unarmed average size woman without hitting her. I didn't know a badge all of a sudden made it right to hit a woman. A woman could punch me 3 times in the face I'm not swinging on her .

So not wanting to assault a woman makes me a pansy. That's nice to know. I respect all cops , but expect all cops to be held to the same standard as the rest of us. A badge doesn't change that for me.

Again show me where taking a person resisting to the ground is wrong, it's actually what your trained to do.

I never said these cops punched anyone. Was using examples. My story isn't weak the cops are fired. You are defending cops who are already fired who beat a woman.

I don't know what these means. Only case I'm making is grown men shouldn't use excessive force on women. If your fine with excessive force on a woman just for back talk then we are worlds apart.
