June 3, 201313 yr I like writing directly to all the great sports figures that are avid readers of this great forum, so in that spirit... Thank you Jason Kidd, thank your for your entire career. But specifically, I'd like to thank you for the following two things: 1) Thank you for being awesome on NBA Jam Tournament Edition. I didn't always play as you (give me the Gary Payton/Detlef Schrempf/Shawn Kemp Sonics and I'll destroy you), but when I did, it was beautiful. 2) Thank you for the 2011 Dallas Mavericks. That playoff run was one of the most fun playoff team adoption/bandwagon experiences of my life. Dirk is still Die Besten, but you were great.
June 3, 201313 yr Magic is the greatest point guard ever. Can't believe this is a discussion. Truthfully forgot about him. Didn't get to watch Magic a ton, just the 90's version. Was 10 and under in the 80's.

He didn't look good in the playoffs, but he played well early in the season for the Knicks. He got injured and never looked the same after that. HOF player- how many players in league history came in with the shooting deficiencies Kidd had and worked to develop their shot the way he did? Led the Nets to consecutive finals, won an MVP and won a ring with Dallas. Top 3 in three's made and top 2 in assists and steals all time- at his best, he was awesome.

I think he actually finished runner up for MVP twice with the Nets never actually won . If my memory serves me right. I thought he was robbed out of one . But I am biased because outside of MJ , Kidd has been my favorite NBA player. His handles and passing ability were fun to watch. Leader in the purest sense when on the floor. If I ranked all time pgs Magic is obviously #1 and even though I despise him Isaiah is #2. Then from there you could bunch up Stockton , GP, Kidd and Nash.
