Is there a program that is more overhyped than CovCath?

I'd say this team did as well as could be expected and probably overachieved a bit. I salute them for their year and their efforts.

Two questions regarding frosh Will Heppler:

 

1. Has he thinned down since basketball?

2. Why didn't get he get more ABs at the varsity level? He can hit. Was it due to his D? He and Schreiver will be a formidable 3-4 next year.

What a stupid comment. Just take a look at their history and how many district and regional titles they have. You dont get those through hype. I'm a Beechwood fan and can tell you that they are not "overhyped" They lost today to what most feel is the best team in the 9th Region. Are you using that to judge?

 

I agree with Clyde about overachieving. This is also why I say they are not overhyped. They always seem to have the ability to get it done.

I thought the same thing. I trust they know what they are doing. Maybe they left him at JV to develop and decided he was ready come tourney time.

From last year team there was only one returning starter and that was Grant Schreiver.

 

Ward if you remember didn't play baseball last year due to getting hurt in the Scott County Classic basketball tourney and Radcliff didn't get to play an inning this season.

 

No this team wasn't over hyped and in fact many thought they might be the first team in 25 years that wouldn't reach 20 wins, much less win the 35th District Championship and make it to the 9th Region Tourney.

 

Keep your head up gentlemen you had a great season and I for one am proud of each and every one of you!

I thought Nick Davis pitched fairly well. Didn't get help in the field and that hurt a bit.

 

I said it before but...Seeing Grant Schreiver play outfield today vs when he was a frosh is night and day. Kid can play D. Strong arm - nailed a runner from RF going to third. Sliding catches. Did it all today.

I wouldn't say they "overacheived". They were ranked in the state early in the year, as well as one of the top teams in the region. When a word like over achieved is used, I wouldnt think of CCH sorry.
