I ran into a lady back around christmas that worked for sportable scoreboards in Murray and she said she was working on it, she said it was gonna be really nice, that's about all she said. I guess she was comparing the board to other sports saying it was so much nicer but it does help in football to have a nice booster club, :thumb:

 

I think the key to the new scoreboard is gonna be the wireless setup, I heard that was a big problem in the past.

Is "sportable scoreboards" one of those companies that sell advertising on the scoreboard to fund the price of it? That is a pretty good deal for everyone.

From what I have read on here, they may open it up a little more this year but from my own experience, it takes a couple years before you get to where it is the weapon it is at Mayfield. Learning to be efficient at it like we are requires a learning curve for the entire offense as well as the coaches

From what I am hearing out of the BW camp they are looking at opening the offense up a little bit, the young Fieger kid can sling it, but I also agree that it takes time to change the mindset of a program. I guess we will see once they strap on the gear this summer.

They may be, but most of the scoreboards I have seen them make don't have much advertising on em. I know we got insurance money to pay for it so I don't think paying for it is gonna be much of an issue.

Sometime ago I think I overheard coach saying somthing about we didn't want an advertiser or somthing like that and I think it was reguarding the scoreboard. From what I gathered, we were approached by a large advertiser like a Coke or Pepsi or somthing along those lines and declined some sort of offer. Now that may not be the case as I was just overhearing a conversation but that is what I think was being said. In a couple spots I was having to fill in the blanks.

The Cardinals will be very strong this year. Anytime they return the majority of there line, you can pretty much bet they'll be good. They always have good skill players and this year will be no exception. Jonathan is a big loss, but, outside of him, they'll just reload at the other positions they lost. This upcoming Sr class is one of those classes that got a lot of hype when they were in 7th and 8th grade, moreso, than last years class. No Jonathan, but, more depth and quantity of quality players. They'll have a 3yr starter in Guhy back at QB and a plethora of receivers for him to throw it to. The running game won't have a bull in the backfield, like Jackson was, but, they'll be adequate and with the experience in the trenches and Guhys ability to throw the ball, they should be effective enough to keep teams honest and be a little faster. I expect Jake to set some passing records this year as he'll likely throw it about 30 times a game. On the defensive side of the ball, the line will be stout, the secondary will be fast and experienced. The LB position is the only questionable area, but, typically, they find a couple of solid guys to fill these holes and I expect they'll do the same this year, although it may take them a few games to get there feet under them. With Tilghman, Murray, McCracken Co, Graves Co, Caldwell Co, Marshall Co and Ft Campbell on there non district schedule, they should be well tested by the time district play rolls around. They could very well lose 3-4 games with that brutal slate of teams, but, still be the team to beat in 1a..
