Harrison?s talks with Bengals ?not going well? | ProFootballTalk

I can't wait to watch Harrison put a hurting on the Steelers.

But the article is saying the talks are not going well.

Talks between James Harrison and Bengals 'not going well'

Ofcourse it has nothing to do about Mike Brown, or $$$, go spear a comfortable retirement!

Of course it has to do with money and/or the fact the Bengals are telling him he will be a situational player only.

I admit I am a big Bengal fan but I want to wait until after the draft/FA to make any "conclusive" judgments on the Bengals' off-season activity.

Honestly I hope the Bengals draft the Georgia kid his last name is Washington he ran a 4.5 at the combine and is 6'4 265 pounds he will be a stud strong side linebacker/rusher.

From Bengals.com:

Steelers outside linebacker James Harrison remains on their radar despite a USA Today report that characterized the negotiations as going badly.

Harrison agent Bill Parise wouldn't go that far Tuesday afternoon, but he did say there is work to be done before there is a deal.

"We wanted to have it done by now. We hope to get it done," Parise said.

You all aren't the only one's who doesn't like the Steelers.....

It would be a bad move if they drafted a Sam linebacker in the 1st round, considering they only play the Sam linebacker for a third of the snaps. Since they usually play the nickle with 4 d-lineman and 2 linebackers the Mike and the Will.

My bet is a bottom dollar base salary laced with incentives keeps them from seeing eye to eye. James should have taken the salary reduction to stay in black and gold. Now he will struggle to get a contract of which he thinks he's worthy. Again the longer he stays unsigned, the more I think the Steelers will resign him on the cheap, although that typically goes against their m.o.

What position does he play??? He's not a WLB. He's not an MLB and they just resigned Ray. Is this purely for depth. If Harrison doesn't start, he'll cause problems.

He will instantly be the strongest guy on the roster.

If you're bored, check his workouts on youtube. He's a freak.

I would think he would play SAM and rush the passer a lot. This has been a weakness of the Bengals.

I'd be leary of him in the middle of the defense. Not remotely as a run stopper, because he can do that as well as anyone in the league. I'd be afraid he's gonna end up iso'd on a RB or TE on the seam or on a drag route., he can't do that any longer. Frankly, he never was outstanding at it.
