Looking at stuff on twitter and he tore his labrum. Not good, not good at all. Said he could be out through all star break.

 

I've read he will be out until the All-Star Break, but if it's a torn labrum he's most likely going to be out longer.

Sounds like Derrick Robinson may be the guy....Dude has speed, but not much of a bat.....

The only good thing going for him it was his non throwing shoulder. But this is not good at all

Not sure where Walt goes from here, especially if it's going to be even longer than the All-Star Break. Depending on Yasiel Puig's performance early on, the Dodgers could be interested in trading Crawford or Ethier.

Reds are going to be in a world of trouble if Heisey is getting the majority of ABs in LF....Almost have to think they'll be looking towards a trade if Ludwick is out as long as it sounds.

With the depth of bullpen I could see them trading Hoover/Simon

I think the most likely scenario is to put Heisey at 2 and Phillips at 4.

I actually could see Carlos Lee being a fit if he can play outfield. He didn't play outfield at all last year. I would sign him to a minor league deal and see what he can do. He only struck out 49 times in 615 AB's last year. Power in decline but at GABP with good AB's, he could hit 10+ HR's and be a solid presence in the 4 slot between now and the All Star break. He won't give up AB's like Heisey did yesterday.

If they HAD to look at any of those guys, I'd say Lee as well, but I'm not sure he'd be a better option than Heisey.

Lee struck out 49 times in 615 AB. Heisey struck out 81 times in 375 AB. Votto struck out 85 times in 475 AB. The point being, Lee was not overmatched at the plate and could be solid in the middle of the order. But Lee will likely not be a big enough upgrade on offence to make up for the defenisve drop off between him and Heisey.
