April 1, 201313 yr I am glad none of my rifles fire .223, shoot even 7.62x39 has gotten crazy compared to what it used to be. I am very happy that 7.62x54R is still relatively cheap. Regarding 7.62 X 54 - I've heard that if you buy in bulk (spam can - or 440 rounds) you can get them for about .25 but I don't know where. Dunhams was out. Anyplace online I can buy them like that?
April 1, 201313 yr I refuse to pay the marked up prices on facebook and at the flea market as well. I'm of the opinion if people would stop paying the high prices those waiting in line at wal mart every morning would stop.THIS! I agree with you, if people will stop paying the 4 or 5 times the actual price these people usually ask for on the secondary market such as the flea markets and online, then it will stop! I was at WalMart a couple of weeks ago and after I went to the gun counter and seen they were out of 9mm this guy caught me about 50 feet away and said he would sell me the 100rd value pack for $100 each. I laughed and told him where to go! Also some ranges are selling them at a very large inflated price as well. The you have the preppers and the people who bought a new firearm the last 4 months and add them to the market.

Anyplace online I can buy them like that? I have gotten my stuff from cheaperthandirt.com, sportsmans guide and occasionally gunbroker whenever I find deals. The problem with those big cans though is making sure you have the right tools to open them, they can be a headache otherwise.
April 1, 201313 yr It's not just ammo, trust me. I've worked in this industry for 33 years, I have never seen such a run on everything gun related as I've been witnessing the last few months. People are really concerned it won't be there in the near future. The government isn't going to take our guns, they are going to keep you from getting ammo to use.
April 2, 201313 yr I can't find 32 long anywhere. Evans in Lexington had more than most places overall though. Those guys are a lot of help too.
April 2, 201313 yr I order most of mine from Sportsman's Guide - Discount Hunting Gear, Discount Hunting Boots, Discount Shoes, Discount Ammunition, Discount Ammo, Discount Boots, Military Surplus, Outdoor Gear at The Sportsman's Guide they list when the ammo is expected in. Some they will let you purchase in advance and ship as soon as it arrives (No charge till shipped). Others you sign up to be notified when it arrives. Fortunately I beat the rush and have at 2000 rounds of all the ammo I use.
