One of my favorites is Dick's Last Resort. If you can't have a good time there you can't have fun anywhere...

 

Been there and done that. :thumb: Totally agree!!!!!!!! We had 14 on vacation and we were all cracking up and having a blast. The servers (waiters) knew how to throw a party.

Dick's is always a good time; Benjamins is a must. Broadway at the Beach is a good spot especially in the

evening plenty or eats and shopping. MB also has outlet malls that offer some pretty good deals. If you ever go

on one of the casino boat deals eat before you go the food was decent at best.

One the Show at Alabama Theatre is always great family entertainment and a great show. I highly recommend it.

Never knew you could go down and checkout the workshop, the dude can flatout build a model boat though.

Been down to the workshop a couple of times and Jim is nice as can be. Both times he took time out to chat with us and point out things about the models we never would have known. For instance, on every ship, he doesn't sign them but builds a replica of himself and his dog and places it somewhere on the ship. He also has a lot of planes that he has built. Very interesting.

It is more about atmosphere than food or service..

Went to Goodfellas tonight . A hole in the wall but it was good. The type of places we like to eat. They had deep fried cheesecake topped with blueberries. It was good.

Speaking of "hole in the wall" places your post made me think of a place we wanted to try but didn't get around to it last time.

 

Two different locals told us to eat at Mr Fish Restaurant and Fish Market.

 

It looks very low key but was the first place both these guys mentioned when asked about local places to eat.

 

I looked it up online and Southern Living Magazine voted them one of South Carolina's 10 best seafood restaurants. Seafood Restaurant Myrtle Beach ? The Original Mr Fish Seafood Restaurant 6401 N. Kings Hwy. Myrtle Beach, SC ? Sushi ? Fresh Fish ? Crabs & Catering 843-839-3474

Flos at Murrell's Inlet is unique and fun.

 

New Orleans / Cajun theme but everything from po boys to full entrees.

 

Used to be an oversized shack but was updated a number of years ago. Overlooks a portion of the inlet.

 

For lunch or inexpensive dinner try Bubbas Fish Shack in Surfside or the River City Cafes.

After getting seated it took close to 30 minutes before getting a drink and after our food came we never seen our waiter, had to get a manager to get our check. Bad experience.

I thought that was supposed to be the point? I thought they were supposed to give bad service on purpose?

I should have said no service, I understand the concept, but no drinks and no food is not good. hard for the place to make money if it don't seel food and drinks.
