Sandman
Not complaining, but I have to think the Hicks kid at Trinity deserves mention. Isn't he a Mr. Basketball finalist? Wasn't he the best player on one of the elite teams in the state? Again, not complaining, because I could not care less who makes the team if I tried. Solid list, and I'm sure plenty of time, thought, and debate was put into formulating it. But for discussion sake, how do you leave Hicks off? I think Hicks was a flash in the pan and although he will play at the next level, I think the kids on the list above deserve it more. There was no WOW factor with him playing at Trinity. There was no WOW factor with him playing at Trinity. Jmo More than fair enough. I replied to generate a little discussion. To me he seems like a pretty good player on a pretty good team. (that means he is really good and the team was really good as well.) If you could start 10 teams with any 10 players from Kentucky would you choose him to start one team? I havent seen him play only read about him so cant answer that. I will follow him and wish him great success though. If I had to choose him or Snider I would go with Snider though. PurplePride92
When you say "true team" are you saying you're picking X number of guards, Y number of forwards/centers? No. A "true team" of the best 10 players in the state regardless of position or class. No limitations.

Our team is made up of who we feel are the top 10 players in the state. At the end of the day while Hicks is a great player and a Mr. Basketball Finalist we felt like despite him being one of the top 5 seniors in the state that he wasn't one of the top 10 overall players in the state regardless of class or position. Had that number been top 15 in the state then he likely would have made the team.

spindoc
Campbell would likely be in the next tier as well.
PurplePride92
I think it is a pretty good team. I'm glad only 10 needed to be picked. The second tier would have been hard to pick.

He is a great player but this team is based on this year...not past performances. Hard to argue with any of the ten.
Sports Fan1230
Omar Prewitt from Mintgomery CO. Deserves to be on this list. One of the better performers in the state tournament.
ESPNdeux
Campbell would likely be in the next tier as well. For me this was the notable omission, because, if you're creating a team that you'd like to put out on the court, it's tough to not include a 6'10" guy with his skill set... With that said, it's tough to find a name on that list to take off...
