If you think Chane is a legit threat as a scorer with his back to the basket you clearly don't watch him play much. Almost all of his points come either on transition dunks or put backs on the offensive glass. Having a game once a month where he makes a post move or two doesn't change what he is. He has many of the same issues the guys UC has now even though he would be an upgrade at the 4. He wouldn't fix the fact the opposing team is over playing the perimeter...

A power forward who can score would go a long way for this team. He averages double digits and shoots 50% from the field. I don't see how he wouldn't help them a lot.

He isn't a factor in the half court as a guy you can post up and force help off the wings. That is what this UC team is missing and a big reason why the offense has gone flat. Would he help? Sure, but he isn't going to bring what they are truly missing. He had a mismatch in the half court every second he was on the floor last night and yet didn't score outside of two open court dunks off Cincinnati turnovers. He has no post game. Making sense to you yet???

Nope it doesn't, clearly Behanan struck a nerve :lol2:

He doesn't demand the ball enough but it is kind of hard to with Russ Smith on your team. He is light years ahead of any big guy UC has offensively. Making sense to you yet?

You know why he doesn't demand the ball? He doesn't have any post moves. Funny how that works.

Didn't strike a nerve other than your poor understanding of half court offense and how he doesn't bring much more to the table than the guys UC has at the 4. None of them are threats to score in the half court.

It was good to catch up with both Chane and his mom at the game though. Glad that everything is going well for them and that he is on a team that knows his strengths and plays to them...

Please, oh master, teach me about half court offense :lol2:

UC has three guys who can score the ball, a fourth changes a lot. Dissect it further if you would like, and yes there are other guys besides Behanan who could help more, but UC had him a one point, that is why it is easy and obvious to bring him up.

Just curious, how many guys in college basketball today go to the block, demand it, and score with a variety of post moves? A handful maybe?

Cncinnati simply cannot score the basketball.

300th Overall in FG %. Ouch.

Since you have it all figured out, explain to me how a guy with no back to the basket game is going to help an offense missing a threat on the block? What does Chane do well? Rebounding is at the top of the list, and last I checked Cincinnati is one of the best rebounding teams in the country on both ends of the floor. Could he add an extra basket or two here and there in transition? Probably, so that would be a plus. Would he change anything related to their struggles in the half court? Nope.

You made a lazy point that doesn't have any substance. It happens sometimes... :thumb:

Adding a guy who averages double figures who would lead the team in FG% (one who as previously mentioned is 300th in the country) wouldn't help at all :lol2: :lol2: :lol2:

You are bitter about him switching schools, it happens sometimes :thumb:

Bitter?

That's truly hilarious. Would I trade Chane for Justin Jackson? Sure. It wouldn't change the struggles this team has on offense, but it would be an upgrade. The problems would still be the same...

It would be an upgrade but not a fix. I can agree with that.

Are Mick's days numbered?

Are Mick's days numbered?

No. Why would they be???

I've heard that Jamaree Strickland is similar to what we have and that Lawrence prefers to play the wing... And Cash and Parker will be gone next season... sigh...

On the bright side, I do feel like Guyn has looked better these last few games, so I'm not totally upset about the PG position...

Strickland is a back to the basket scoring center. He is unlike any guy on the roster. Lawrence is a face up 4 that fits the 4 out system...

That's promising... I got (apparently bad) information that he was another 'shotblocker project' kinda guy... I don't know how developed he is but at this point if he is at all competent offensively I can see him getting minutes next year...

And thats about what I had heard on Lawrence...

IF those two guys can be that, next year doesn't look near as bleak as I thought... Go small with JLaw at the 4 and Jack at the 5 or go big with JLaw at the 3, Jack at the 4, and KG/Big Dave at the 5... While hopefully SK and some combination of Guyn, Davis, Caupain, KJ, Mormon, etc. etc. etc. can hopefully get the ball up the court...

It would be an upgrade but not a fix. I can agree with that.

Are Mick's days numbered?

I don't think so. Not that I agree with that. If they do not wind up in the ACC, they will do well in a mid major conference, and Mick is set.
