Tyler Jones had 8 assists and Bryan Wallace had 5. 13 Assists from our guards with only 4 turnovers.

Freshman Art Walker stepped in for 14 points on 5/7 shooting (4/6 from 3 pt.)

Montgomery County went from shooting 38.5% in the first half to 66.7% in the second half for 54.2% overall.

I thought no one liked the Brossart style of play?

 

Well, there are a few purists still around who can respect a well-executed offense and tenacious defense.

 

Last night the Mustangs shot a lot of bunnies, a few wide-open threes and a smattering of short baseline jumpers. Quality shots. You just don't see them take a bunch of contested 18-footers. They wait until a good shot presents itself.

 

In fact, there was an interesting discussion courtside as to whether this style of play is "in the DNA", or if coached up; how long it takes to instill.

Happy for Art. He's a great kid as well as a great athlete.

Omar Prewitt's father came up to me in between the two games tonight & had some very nice words to say for BGP. Very nice thing for him to do. :thumb:

Also love Montgomery's band. And the fatheads in the student section were a hot topic among the front row foursome. :lol:

It will be interesting to see how MOCO handles Brossarts size in the post and how Brossart will handle MOCO's up in your face D and full court pressure?
