Oldham County 61 Grant County 44

Grant will have a better chance if their bigger kids improve yes but Grant County will have the greatest chance at Rupp IF the main 5 to 7 guys on the TEAM get stronger mentally and learn how to play when the pressure in on!!! Someone other than Carr has to get tough on a consistent basis and pull them to victory when his shots are not falling. Its high school ball in the 32nd and 8th region you only need to SOLID players to get to RUPP

Grant will have no chance at getting to Rupp if they play the same soft schedule that they did this year. Forget about padding their record and play some tougher competition that will prepare them for post-season.

I totally agree with you 123Go and I have said that in my previous post. Why do you think I said the 5 to 7 guys on the TEAM need to get stronger mentally and learn to play when the pressure is on? The only way you learn how to play like that is to be put in game situations where you fight from start to finish and dig deeper when you think you cant dig any more!! Grant has a lot of Up-Side to them and I will be on the edge on my seat when they play us again next season.

I have NO authority on the Coaches but I do have a set of eyes that can see at 20/20 vision from the stands and can see that Coach Hicks does play favorites (Which is my opinion of course lol). I do not fault Coach Hicks for playing favorites

I watched this team play about eighteen times this year and I can't figure out what you are getting at. What do you mean by playing favorites? At first I thought you were implying that Aaron Hicks and Coach Hicks were related, but I do not think that is what you were claiming. Now I think you're saying that Tyler Carr has too much freedom, but that also makes no sense. Be specific please. What favoritism exists in this program? Don't wimp out, please be specific.

Grant had 2 very solid players this year in Carr and Anglin but they were 6ft. and maybe 5ft 10, you need some solid size.

I agree 100% khalid. I would love to have some examples on what favoritism is being showed. I too have watched a lot of games (all of them) and I have not witnessed Hicks treat any player different than any other.

I agree. Coach Hicks plays the kids who are working hard and performing to his expectations. I to would like to hear some examples from LetsRoll.

Anglin is not a solid player he is a solid defensive player and above average on offense but he is not an over all SOLID player like Carr.

Khalid,

Man you got me beat I only got to watch them play like 10 times, what a shame.

I never said he played favorites this year in my previous post did I? But do I think he played favorites this nope sure do not. These are his kids he has had since he got to Grant. Coach Hicks built his program around them (well at least the ones that didnt quit or leave).

Before I go any farther into this I want to know If I am the only one in this conversation that believes that Coach Hicks has played favorites???

Lets Roll, I believe that his favorites are the ones who bust their tail every day in practice, you should watch one of his practices, they go as fast and as hard as they do in the game. It is wall to wall non stop and makes them work. Some people might say that he plays favorites and some people may not agree with him but he was hired to coach and win, and they did that this year without all the kids that have quit. He I dont believe has ran anyone off, now some may not have liked him and quit or thought they were not getting their share of time and quit but I dont think he has ran anyone off.

Saw a couple tapes and one video, no one on that team was close to Anglin as a defender, he disrupted Simons guards and without him against Oldam they might have got beat 25.

Is there any truth about Anglin quitting the team last year late in the year because of the way he was being treated, if he did quit seems odd that Hicks would let him come back this year if he quit for no reason. People say he was one of the hardest working kids on the floor, but got harsh treatment for the same mistakes that were overlooked if made by one other player. Hmm.

I have connected the dots now. I see were this is coming from. Move on!!!!!!!!!!

Anglin like a said is a SOLID defender maybe one of the top in the state but that does not make him a over all SOLID player thats all im saying.
