The Breds close out the regular season in convincing fashion in Hebron against the Conner Cougars. Breds big man, Drew McDonald was not at the game tonight, he was home sick. The Breds played excellent in all facets of the game tonight, great "D" and were running their sets to perfection. NewCath's Jake Schulte, who in less than 3 full quarters, goes for 18 pts & 7 blocks (wasn't counting rebs.), he had is way with whoever was guarding him, including Barker. Also, Colin Dupont comes off the bench to drop in 13 pts. Solid effort by all the Breds in this one. Conner big man Drew Barker was a non factor in the game as he was saddled with foul trouble the whole night, including 2 quick ones in the 1st 4 minutes of the game. At around the 6:45 mark in the 2nd quarter, Conner coach Jim Hicks "yanks" the entire starting 5, he was not a happy camper, and sits them for the next 4 minutes of the quarter. However the writing was already on the wall. Schulte, Seibert, & Pangallo all exit midway thru the 3rd. Hemmerick for Conner lead the Cougars in scoring getting most of them in the 4th quarter. Every Breds player scores in this one.

JV game: NewCath 51-19, Ben Weyer only played 1st half.

6'8 v 6'4 is a tough matchup.

Anyone know Schulte's wingspan?

About 7'1".

As I said recently the best college prospect on NC is Schulte IMO. He's getting some muscle on those long arms and starting to play with confidence. Big summer for him.

He and Drew are going to be a bear inside next year.

I may have said a few years ago that he will be 9th region player of the year in 2014. Not sure wing span is 7'1 but he is a load.

It was measured at 7'1 earlier this season.

If the kid is 6'7 or 6'8 I can easily see it being longer than his height.

Congrats to my Man Colín Dupont for the double figs off the bench.

I think the Breds starters need to go check on McDonald today and hang out with him to make sure hes feeling better. :)

Congrats NCC

Absolutely hilarious!!!! That quote is priceless! I'm surprised you didn't suggest Mr. Flynn pick them up, give them a ride, and have them all drink out of the same sippy-cup!

Very funny!

I would assume the Breds got the message after a poor performance against Ryle...................................

Looks like Ryle continued to play well with a win over the Camels so give them credit for being on the upswing.

Big Jake doing work! Glad to see Bueter still on fire. Take care of districts- one step at a time.
