I've already commented that I perceived 9th region officials allow more contact than 8th. Seems to be something to it.

 

The beauty of officiating is that you say the above and I'll find as many that say the opposite. Its hard to make a general statement when you've got 50+ officials doing varsity games.

I agree thats why I don't argue calls during the game and why I video tape and review. Most of the time the good officials make the right call. It's just odd when I have seen 4-5 girls games this year when neither team reached the Bonus (in both halves) or did so at very end.

Conner got thumped last night, however they can't safely overlooked by teams. It seems like alot of these teams that started the season with a bang are now stepping on the court worn out. Could it be the fact these teams are playing 2-3 games a week back to back at the end of a long season? I'm not saying they aren't in condition physically, but rather mentally exhausted & no longer focused.

Notre Dame is the favorite to win the Region this year no doubt. Others can pull the upset, but it will be that, an upset. Conner, Ryle, Cooper, Boone-they all have to make the region just like NCC and Highlands.

 

Notre Dame will unquestionably be in the region which is step 1 to winning the region.

I have the advantage of video tape the refs don't have. I watched 3 in particular where ND defender was knocked off

her feet each time the offensive player was moving and slid toward the defender. I was told the officials were the top 3 refs in the region and after watching the video there should have been 10-12 more foul calls. Refs just don't call enough fouls, its "The Midwest Hoops" keep the game on schedule mentality. Ref told me last night he would only call a foul if it affected the shot. Another stated girls are failing down all the time with no contact. Maybe the contact is why we are losing basketball talent to Volleyball. Here are 3 from 1st qtr

I believe this is his attempt to prove there were many illegal screens set by Conner in the game. One of them may be close, but the others all I see is a player in the process of setting a screen.

#1 is a foul because the picker leans into the defender.

#3 was probably going to end up a foul because the screener got their late.

#2 looks clean.

OR...early weak schedules are now catching up with some team!

Seriously! You want to post pictures and talk about illegal screens in high school girls basketball. It happens every game. Doesn't matter what school your talking about. Find it interesting you just want to show Conner setting your " illegal screens" . Where's the Notre Dame pictures?

 

Your obviously a ND fan or parent which is fine. They are a great team no doubt. But to be so one sided is a joke. And to post your pictures. Tell you what if these 2 teams hook up again ill post the ND illegal screens. Cause clearly you have your parent goggles on.

Wow! You won big and you want to call this out. I usually have pretty much respect for all ND fans, but I can't say I agree with this.

 

First, you can't really tell too much from the photos. You can't tell exactly where their feet are when contact is actually made. In at least one of them, I'm not sure contact is even going to be made!

 

Secondly, why are you spending sooo much time watching film to find illegal screens??? If you have to find them on film, imagine how hard it is real time. And if they called illegal screens that closely, a lot of teams wouldn't have any players left in the game and the games would last 3 hours. Whether you want to believe it or not, BBall is a contact sport. If you don't like it, sign up for the bowling team.
