From what I have heard, Racke was done dirty by Butler. He originally committed to them when they extended the offer/expressed the want for him however you want to put it. He was later told (at some point this week) that unfortunately they did not have a spot for him any longer. Keep in mind, this is just what I have heard and I don't know the level of truth to it, but if it truly is the case, in my opinion, that is completely unacceptable on Butler's part.

 

How can there not be a spot on a team when they are not limited by scholarships?

It must have come down to the last minute. I remember seeing a tweet saying he was going to wait until the next day to make it official.

So what the schools are really saying is that we commit to you unless we find someone who we think is stronger before signing day? Between this and the practice of offering more scholarships than you have available, I'd say this is one dirty business. Not looking forward to going through this with my kid! Commitment means nothing in this process!

Sure, but the recruiting staffs are supposed to be adults, are they not? Can't wait for the recruiting types to show up not knowing mom is a former D1 head coach!

If he goes to Dayton (or any other PFL team), I'm sure he'll have a little extra fire in his belly for Butler. Hope he finds a great landing spot that treats him well.
