Lawrence Co is a dangerous team and young enough to not even think about the importance of the game. Sheldon Clark is also a dangerous team and currently the one seed. Paintsville has Tiller and BMR who is the best coach in the district. Then there's Magoffin Co which is the host school. It'll be interesting to see which two survive.

Paintsville just beat the #1 seed last night. Lawrence fell to Magoffin. I'd say JC will still come out of there with Hall healthy. They'll represent the 15th in my opinion. Is it possible JC tank in the district? Sure.

I think Pikeville will win the 15th if Kasongo continues to improve. He's gone to a different level in the last month.

Ethan Rowe is a nice guard who scores a lot of points.

 

The 15th Region is just really weak in comparison to the rest of the state. They didn't play great against Holy Cross. They've won 9 of their last 11 games though.

If they face one another in the finals, for argument's sake, I'm not sure that Hall and Kosongo don't cancel one another out. Then you're stuck hoping the pieces are better than the other, IMO.

 

And just for reference, I've seen Kosongo only play once and he wasn't impressive, and looked out of game shape frankly. However that was early and I'll have to assume he's come along.

Yeah, he's really been a different player in the last few weeks. I watched him early and thought he looked terrible. Looks much different now.

In the 14th:

If the Hazard/Perry Central district still draws, then those two have a chance of meeting up in an elimination game. Also, seeing the Cordia/Knott County Central district could be interesting. If they draw, then they can obviously meet. If they seed, the results of the seeding could be skewed due to the eligibility issues (and the possibility that still may even be more).

 

In the 13th:

North Laurel, Clay County, and Jackson County are in the same district (and Jackson County is the host school this year). Unsure on the seeding, but I think Jackson has beaten North this year.

 

In the 12th:

The Somerset, Pulaski County, Pulaski SW district could be interesting (I'm assuming all are still in the same district, but I may be wrong on that one).
