Newport Central Catholic 49 Knott Co. Central 44 (Class "A" State Semi-Finals)

Lawnboy, since when did you start promoting just ONE of NewCath's players? Every player has their role. Jake plays his very well. As does the other members. Why start tearing a great TEAM apart with posts like this? Correct me if I'm wrong but that team is working toward a state championship, not all-tourney selections, aren't they?

Seriously? He pointed out Schulte's effort bc he is overlooked. He give compliments to everyone. Go look at the football and older basketball posts.

Good luck to the Breds. Bring the hardware to NKY

1. I'm not TEARING the team apart, this assertion is comical.

2. I'm not trying to promoting just one player. However, I am emphasizing one players role in this tourney, and it's not to diminish the play of all the others, because it DOES take a TEAM effort to accomplish what this group has done so far.

3. I challenge you to find ANYONE on this site that comes close to my promoting of Newport Catholic. I am proud of what these young men and women accomplish through the instruction of their coaches and teachers.

I said they were working toward a team championship. Why not leave it at that? You're worried about an all tourney team.

What's your problem? LB is a huge NCC fan and he doesn't deserve these lame shots from you or anyone else. All he did was talk about how well Schulte has played.

Lighten up.

Relax, chief.

I read his post as saying a kid that usually gets overlooked due to the other talent on the team is putting together a stellar tourney and should be recognized.

Sensitive posters struggle on here.

You know Ive tried to listen to the games on WLGC radio . They advertise that they are broadcasting every game of the All A,Well tonight while trying to get NCC - Knott Co they were broadcasting either a Fairview basketball game or Morehead State . Where was the All A ?

I think this is the station I heard the game. From their logos I believe they were from the Boyd County area. The announcers weren't very unbiased, though, for whatever reason. They would get excited and loud when NCC would score or do something big but were calm and collect when KCC scored or made a steal. At first I thought I was listening to an NCC station.

You are going so far out of your way to find fault that it is comical.

Great job Breds and good luck today in the final! Gotta give props to Knott County Central for having a large fanbase on hand including a band!
