I have not seen them play and this is exactly what kills me. People look straight at records and say well they've only lost 3 games. Well with the schedule they've played up until now, I would hope they wouldn't have had many more! They beat ND. Who else have they beat? Just like some felt Conner wasn't tested, I think many feel the same way about SK. Yes, they beat ND. But with that being their "big" win, a questionable early schedule and then losing to Boone in the next game, why wouldn't one ask if the ND game was a fluke??

Then I am really confused by your posts and replies to my posts. I did not disrespect SK. You want to know what won the game? I will tell you. It was Boone's defense that won the game. Once Boone got the lead in the 1st half they never gave it up until after halftime. Once the 2nd half started SK was able to take the lead after several minutes into the 3rd. Boone didn't change and stuck to their game plan and then took the lead again and by this time it looked as if SK was worn down due to the defense of Boone. They had them wore out and you could tell they were all tired and Boone never let up and didn't build the big lead until the last few minutes of the game.

They think they always get ignored by 9th teams. They actually said they were going to "burst bubbles" in the ninth region. All my point is, they bumped their chest and demanded respect from the 9th. No matter how good Boone played, they are not the Boone of old and have lost 6 of the last 8 and were blown out of a couple of those. It is what it is with Boone. I was stating that to show certain SK fans that when you bang your chest and say stupid things, it can come back to haunt you! One of the reasons they said they beat ND was because they were so deep and athletic. They said they ran them to death and their speed and quickness was too much. So I would ask them how they got wore out by a not a very deep Boone team after apparently having two days off!!! It's nothing against Boone. They have an up and down season. But that makes them an average team. SK beat their chest and then lost to a average 9th region team....then makes excuses about it! ha ha

It's difficult for me to read because my HHS education left a lot to be desired. The teachers didn't read the books to me in class. They passed me when I shouldn't have been passed. The scores on my state tests were curved so I could pass. My mom worked too much and didn't force me to do my homework. My work hired me as part of a "helping the community" event. It's not my fault I can't read! Society should have pushed me more! Okay, got to go. I have to watch the Obama Inaugural ceremony again.

SK isn't a team I'd want my team to face in the playoffs, they showed they are for real and it took Boone's best game of the year to beat them. Boone may be avg but they also are the same team that has shown signs this year that they can also be pretty darn good also. so it wasn't as much of a fluke or wasn't a down night by SK that created the final results last night. It was a BBall game that could of went either way, it wasn't 1 team laying down to another, it wasn't a game full of bad play, it was a good hard fought game period. No excuses are needed for either team.

I have a feeling that the practice they missed on Monday will be more than made up for today and tomorrow.

The KC BOE or senior administration would not allow Kenton County teams to practice on Sunday or on MLK. SK came out flat follwing two days off. Ryle was seen practicing at SOAS on MLK, so its fair to assume BC practiced somewhere as well. See the boys thread on the Collins cancellation for additional detail or IM me. I'm livid! They even denied off site practice.

I should probably know this, but what ever happened to our over confident friend from Independence?

Some say he is now a loyal Conner fan, others say he is still at SK disquised and under a different name (if he is then he is fooling everyone because I have only seen a couple of posts from SK fans that resemble him but... ), LOL.

Ryle was seen practicing at SOAS on MLK, so its fair to assume BC practiced somewhere as well.

 

This was a shoot around thrown together by the girls on the team - I am fairly certain this was without their coach's involvement. I don't think the BOE can prevent a bunch of players from working on their shooting on their own time - and dime. And why would anyone assume that Boone and Ryle were doing anything in tandom?

I thought so but wasn't going to say because I didn't know for sure. I will say that we were out all day with my wife and son and along with us for the day was one of BC's players. I can assure you we weren't playing basketball, so I don't think BC had practice on MLK day either.
